The Way Of Harmony

The Way Of Harmony is for all people and living things,
these principles are the guidelines for our conduct and spirit.

Harmony

The smooth integration of our own body/mind/spirit, our inter-relationships with other people and all beings, our flow and harmony with the universe.

Respect

We truly respect ourselves; thereby we understand the respect for all other beings. When we display a lack of self-respect, we display disrespect for all others. Conflict begins within.

Balance

Extremes of behavior are not harmonious and not in keeping with The Way of Harmony.

Care

What I do for myself I do for others; what I do for others I do for myself.

Responsibility

The ability to respond, not react. We take responsibility for our own words and actions.

Seek Harmony and Balance

Honor

We are a martial art, a branch of Kung Fu. True warriors use their ability with honor – only to protect the self and loved ones or those who cannot protect themselves. However, we first will use every effort at harmony peaceably. True warriors never react from anger, revenge or unskilled control over the self.

Communication

We keep lines of communication open so that misunderstandings do not foolishly escalate and create disharmony.

Honesty

In word, action and thought.

Mindfulness

We are aware in-the-moment and see things clearly. We are sensitive to others.

Lightness of Spirit

We take our art seriously, but not ourselves. We laugh. . . We enjoy. . . We are elated by the accomplishments of others. We strive to be humble, yet confident.

Peace

A true follower of The Way of Harmony, a true warrior, stands for peace. The highest skill is to win without fighting. The higher consciousness will always win. . . Then everyone wins.
